TWO Years Old

My baby is TWO! She is my dream come true. Sometimes I still can’t believe that she is mine. She is everything I imagined she would be and more. My journey to her was not the easiest as you can read in My JOURNEY To Becoming a Mom – Struggles of Infertility. I am so thankful for her and she was definitely worth the wait. I wrote a post last year Almost ONE and kept it short and sweet. This year I want to write a note to my daughter and share it with you. So here it is:

My Averie Alexis,

Happy Birthday sweet girl. You are smart and feisty. You are the most beautiful little girl I have ever seen and you are an answer to this Mama’s prayers. You love to explore outside and if I let you, you would be out there all day long. You love to sit in the dirt, dig and then pour it all over you. You know your Mama is a little OCD and this drives me nuts! But the smile on your face is worth it and I’ll clean you up later.

You love the water and maybe that’s why your favorite movie right now is Moana. It makes me so happy that you love Disney as much as me! You may have been slightly influenced but that’s ok. We both agree Mickey is the best, or maybe Minnie. I can’t wait to take you back to Disneyland. Your favorite show right now is TOTS. You also love Vampirina, Mickey Mouse Club House, and Mickey and the Roadster Racers. Your favorite foods are ranch, ketchup, salsa…oh wait those are sauces because you actually prefer sauces over anything else. LOL. You love anything spicy which is crazy for your age. Your favorite is spicy Indian food.

You know exactly what you want and sometimes you will scream until you get it. Who taught you that? Asking for a friend… You really don’t scream that much but you certainly know how to do it. When you want something you say PEAASEEE in the sweetest little tone ever!

You love to yell Dada and then when he says “baby” you say something…we can’t figure out what it is but you know. It’s the cutest. When you say Maaa or Mama it melts my heart. You love your brothers and have so much fun playing with them. You most definitely love your Pa (my Dad) and Mimi (my Mom) who watch you while Mommy works. You are talking so much more and it’s cute to watch you grow and learn.

This year celebrating your birthday was a little different because of something called social distancing. We had a Moana themed party for you and your favorite part was the cupcakes, as it should be. You had so much fun and took a really good nap. Mama thanks you for that.

My sweet Averie, I pray for you daily. I pray that you have so much fun growing up and learning things. I can’t wait for this next year with you. While I miss having my baby, it’s so nice to see your personality develop and watch you grow. You will do great things my girl!
