Through the storm I walk, with no hope in sight
Feeling weary and down, I can not see the light
The clouds too thick and the winds too strong
My God, have you forgotten me? Oh where have you gone?
I do not know how much longer I can stand
The tides are against me and not one helping hand
I feel all alone and down in my faith
God only you can give me everlasting strength
Just when I thought the end was near
The storm clouds broke and hope replaced fear
I saw the light of the coming day
And realized victory was not too far away
God has answered my prayers and is showing me the way
To conquer this storm and reach a brighter day
Holding tightly to him I now know I can succeed
For in his loving arms forever I will be
I don’t always understand his unique and perfect plan
But I know to hold strong and never waver from his hand
When the tides are against me and it seems like no one cares
God has reminded me that he will always be there
